Princeton Review's 1296 ACT Questions

I have been using Princeton Review's 1296 ACT Questions for practice and the questions seem to be relatively easy. I have been scoring in the mid 30s with only about 2 days of review and never having taken the ACT.

Since I haven't taken the ACT, I have nothing to compare the questions to. For the people that have used/taken both, do you find PR's 1296 questions to be easier, the same, or harder than the questions found on the ACT?

Thanks!

Sorry I do not have a direct answer to your question, but I can refer you to some links:

Not sure if those help, but I think the consensus on those threads is that the 1296 book is harder than the actual test. So you must be super smart/a really good test taker! You should probably get your hands on some official released tests and practice with those before you take the real deal!

Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, I did the science section after I posted this (I only had done the English and Math when I posted it) and completely bombed it. Ahhhhhh back to studying :(

How exactly is the 1296 book set up? Is it just like any other ACT practice book? Or what exactly makes it different (besides the apparent difficulty)?

No, it’s not like other ACT prep books. It doesn’t really review the material like the others… It just has 1296 practice questions (6 tests worth) hence the name. I would defiantly recommend it.

I used 1296 and cracking the ACT together and i think it worked wonderfully for me.
Actually, I don’t know if it really did work since i only took the ACT once, but comparing to my SAT score, which was 1630 (490 CR, 670 Math, 470Writing), ACT came out lot higher (I had 28 composite, 25 Eng, 32 Math, 27 Reading, 29 Science, 22 Writing).
Whatever you take, I think practice will always help you. Practice will never hurt you :D

Thanks for the suggestion! I think my library has a copy. I will probably check it out.

that book is useless
