@johnk24 - And to be hyper-technical about it, Princeton students don’t have majors; they have concentrations.
Physics is one of my favorite subjects and my son was a Physics concentrator at Princeton, so I think you’re heading in a good direction. Good luck!
who has submitted their application already?
Yeah, I’m interested in the physics major for Princeton too. Hope we both get in!
Sliu412, have you applied already?
Wow, I didn’t expect this thread to be so deserted especially at this time of the year. Hehe, I feel kind of lonely right now. Well, let’s see how many people show up. How are all of your applications to Princeton going so far?
@Namsang88
Chugging along with an appropriate(slightly exaggerated amount of stress. What about you?
Yup, my stress is only getting worse with the deadlines for early action approaching. Don’t know how I’m gonna handle this later on. How is your application going so far?
I submitted my SCEA application a few weeks ago.
@xmas19
Wow! You’re really quick. How did you manage those essays? They took me a pretty long time to get done. In fact, I’m still editing some of them! Anyway, congrats on finishing your application. I hope to join you in the waiting game soon.
I started my common app essay at the end of summer and used all available free time I had to write my Princeton essays. I have never edited and re-read anything that much in my life! I was so relieved when I finished my application. I am applying under BSE, so I had the extra engineering essay to write as well. I submitted my Optional Arts supplement for piano yesterday, so now I am completely done with my application. I am curious, what is your intended major? (I am applying with an intention for Chemical and Biological Engineering)
@xmas19
Wow! You started really early. I only started everything last month, but I feel you completely. I never thought I would edit a piece of writing so much. I hope to major in Physics, so I’m applying under A.B.
Have you visited Princeton yet?
@xmas19
Oh, that’s not possible for me. I live too far away! How about you?
Yes I have. It’s incredible!
That’s awesome. Oh, I feel so jealous right now! :-*
Just applied today and am freaking out. I applied undecided but eventually intend to be an engineering major. I never saw a prompt for this BSE essay so I never wrote it. Will I still be able to major in engineering if I get accepted? Can I write the BSE essay and submit it now (late!!)?
don’t worry! it’s not too late. you have till midnight for the local time, if i’m not wrong. don’t over-stress about this one essay; i’m sure it’ll all be worth it at the end!
@lukeca
So, how did it go? Hope things went well for you.
Greetings!
I applied last night but had some confusion and as a consequence I accidentally applied with a fee waiver. I’ve emailed Princeton to see if I can fix this while still being REA rather than having my application simply bounced back, but on another note I received an email confirming my application went through… on the portal it says that my fee waiver “has been received” just because I accidentally checked that I had one on the Common App.
Any advice? If they don’t respond should I just let it be?
Also, my portal says my application was received on November 2nd even though I submitted it last night. Is this the same for everyone else who applied last night? Am I still eligible for Early Action?
