***PRINCETON UNIVERSITY R.D. DISCUSSION CLASS OF 2019***

@Cantiger‌ this is great advice. We’ve been telling dd this, “You have as much chance as anyone. You’re a strong candidate and any school would be blessed to have you. But there are a lot of strong candidates so we’ll wait, see and trust things will work out one way or another. Remember, these decisions do NOT define you. They do not make you any better/worse from an acceptance/rejection (or in her case, waitlisted at the last 3 schools).”

Good luck everyone!

So, here’s the press release: http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S42/78/21K68/index.xml?section=newsreleases Admission rate is down to 6.99%.

Can someone post a link to where we are supposed to sign in for our decisions? All I see is the account registration page. Or does the sign in page become available at 5?

I think it’s this: https://notify.princeton.edu/

To those applying from Nebraska, you were rejected.

“Students accepted to the Class of 2019 come from 49 states in addition to Washington, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico. The only state not represented is Nebraska. Applicants last year represented 48 states.”

dang…good thing I’m not from Nebraska

We’re Nebraska’s neighbor so there is still hope!! :wink:

haha, well that’s good to know (I’m from Nebraska)

LOL. Although that is pretty funny way to know your decision

@ClassicalCollege I’m sorry!

@CaliCash‌ Haha, no problem! I wasn’t expecting to get in anyways, and I think it was the same last year - no one from Nebraska enrolled last year (so I doubt many, if any got in).

That is really terrible of Princeton’s PR office to do to kids from Nebraska.

WHat do you mean, what happened to those in Nebraska?

I’m SO nervous! I’m binge-watching sherlock on netflix so I can focus on something other than the fact that I’m most likely being rejected from my dream school.

Yeah, no way there’s not a single kid in the entire state that isn’t qualified to go to Princeton. Maybe they factor in circumstances a lot less (is 39% from private schools higher or lower than other Ivies?)

Haha, I know! I’m wondering what their rationale was for not letting at least one person in just so they could say they hit all 50 states. Oh, well!

Wait, not one person from Nebraska got into Princeton?

@santaman1 Nope

Nope! http://dailyprincetonian.com/news/2015/03/admissions/
