Princeton vs. Yale

I was lucky enough to be accepted to both the above schools, and was wondering which would be better from a recruiting standpoint. I would do either econ or ORFE at Princeton and econ at Yale. Also, does anybody know if a more technical degree like ORFE is preferred over a more liberal arts one like econ or vice versa?

Thanks!

Princeton, definitely Princeton and of course a more technical degree is preferred. It shows that you’re capable of thinking analytically and good with numbers(which is a must) - eventually you can some liberal arts classes so you seem more interesting.

Cannot go wrong with each school! Princeton ORFE would give you a big advantage for more quantitative positions in trading and research. It is also one of the few programs of its kind at the undergraduate level, which has both positive and negative aspects. For IBD the major will not matter as much. Princeton tends to send more students into finance than Yale.
