PRINCETON?

<p>Hi there so I need a reality check. I have been working towards Princeton University since I was six years old. My father used to teach there and I know many of its alumni, I'm in love with the school but it is the hardest to get into and I don't think my dream will come true so here are my stats please let me know if I stand a chance ...</p>

I have a 3.9 unweighted GPA
I am currently in the top 8% of my class</p>

<p>There's more but these are the basics please don't take this as bragging but I just need to know if i stand a chance thank you soooo much </p>

<p>It’s definitely very, very reachy for you. You have great stats that would be a shoe-in at a lot of schools, but your ECs aren’t particularly impressive, despite their breadth. Colleges like Princeton like to see depth in ECs, with some sort of national or at least regional distinction. I’d say your admit chance is in the low single-digits. </p>

<p>Oh, and see if you can get a prominent alumni to write a letter for you, if you don’t have any moral quandaries with it. That might push your admit chance up ten or twenty points. Strong legacies/alumni letters are basically a 300+ boost to your SAT.</p>

<p>Yep, a reach for you…and everyone else who applies. Can you find a way to weave a story around your last four years? To link up some of those ECs into a powerful story of who you are?</p>

<p>The fact that you aspire to get into Princeton says something. Why don’t you aspire to change the world in some way? That will be what gets you into Princeton.</p>
