ZO: I'm sure you've dissected this all every which way you can! But, another factor to consider, if you learn that it is the MOC who wants to "make the announcement" of the APPOINTMENT.... The "April" date may have some relevance to how your MOC chooses to make announcements, with little regard for your wish to know RIGHT NOW! You might check with current cadets/mids who have received nom's/appointments in prior years from your school, town, etc. -- maybe the MOC releases all of the current year's appointments (for all the academies) at the same time, such as through a press release (say, the first week of April!) -- or has some other method he or she prefers, such as announcing at spring honors convocations, etc. If you can check with others from your district who are in one of the academies (and have been through this) it might shed some light about the "April" comment. And, if you have developed a relationship with the staffer who handles the MOC's appointments, maybe you can just ask what the "April significance" is? (and, perhaps hear: "oh, that's when the Congressman makes all his academy announcements!") You still may not find out everything you want to know, but enough to connect the dots.

Congratulations, it seems, are in order, although I can understand why, with all the work you've put in, you don't want to jump the gun! But congrats to you anyway!
