<p>The UW says that to be considered for merit based scholarships/grants, etc. you must apply by dec. 1st, does this mean that FAFSA must ALSO be completed and SUBMITTED by dec. 1st? </p>

<p>I spent at least 30 hours on my UW APP to be able to submit it early and be considered for any and all types of grants etc, if I don't get FAFSA in by dec. 1st as well will I not be eligible for any types of grant/scholarships etc?</p>

<p>No, these scholarships are merit based, and have nothing to do with the FAFSA. The FAFSA is not available until January 1st, and the UW wants it to be complete by February 28th.</p>
