I noticed that certain colleges have these additional deadlines before the regular application deadlines called priority deadlines. What exactly is this? Is it true that by applying early through priority increases chances? Also, if the college commitee read the priority applications first with fresh eyes, won't they be slightly more lenient?

Thanks

You’re exactly right. Priority deadlines don’t usually give you an explicit boost, but they do mean your application is one of the first read, and thus viewed a bit more leniently. It’s always a good idea to meet the priority deadlines if you can.

Thanks so much for your input. Ill try my best to hand it in by that time. This means more work in November! (lol)
