Priority in Admissions?

Does being a National Merit Finalist give you any priority in the admissions process? If so, how much?

It does, helps alot. but it’s not something that’ll get some1 in the bottom 50% of his class get into Harvard.

Depends on what types of schools. NMFs are a dime a dozen at top tier colleges.

Honestly, I don’t think so. I was a Posse Scholarship Semi-Finalist and I don’t think that the college I applied too cared.

I’ll tell you one thing, making it to the second round of Posse was not easy. But why should they care, since I didn’t win.

Won’t you only be a semifinalist when apps roll around? I think finalist notifications come later.

Not at top colleges.
