Priority Number...

My priority number is 2178 and my list priorities of dorms are:
Wildwood
Degraff
Broward
Cawthon
Gilchrist
Jennie Murphree
I would like to get into one of those dorms but mainly I just want a double or triple suite and NOT a community style dorm room. Do you think I will get any of my preferences? Or at least a suite?

A suite? Yes, you will get one. Typically, priority numbers of around 3500-4000 are the cutoff area for suite-style rooms. With the changes made to the Housing application process this year, that number will probably drop a bit (as there is now more time for people to have gotten their decisions from other colleges and to decide whether FSU was where they wanted to go), but I don’t see it dropping that low.

There’s 3700 spots (approximately) in suite-style dorms. Some are for living-learning communities and the like, but the number of spots still open for applicants is well over 2000.

I would venture a guess that you’d get into either Wildwood or DeGraff, although it’s honestly pretty tough to gauge what’s going to happen this year, unfortunately.

Pasbal-
Question, please-
Sister had a low priority number last year and she got her first choice. Now she advised me that FSU is revamping their entire procedure for returning students. Why and any suggestions for her? Thanks…As you can see, I can be level headed, occasionally…

Why are they redoing things? I couldn’t tell you. Pretty much nothing that Housing does makes sense.

I really don’t have any suggestions for returning residents. Since it’s based off credit hours earned, there isn’t much you can do to help your chances.

I don’t get the change, but I really don’t get a lot of things that Housing does.

Pasbal- Thank You!!
