What all dorms/halls have private bathrooms in the rooms? (Places where freshmen can stay) and are there good apartments where freshmen can stay yet still get the first year experience?

Freshmen are required to live in a dorm. The best you’ll get is a shared bathroom. Read has them and Willkie, but I think Willkie requires you to be 19. You can find all this information on rps.indiana.edu

McNutt has some private bathrooms in that one person can go in and lock the door and use the shower, toilet and sink privately. But, anyone can use them not just a few roommates. The best part is that someone else cleans them every day and it is not a student responsibility. I don’t know if all of McNutt has these yet as it was a recent renovation.

Most of Teter has private bathrooms. And as a freshman, you really really don’t want to live in an apartment, nor are you allowed to. The dorms aren’t the most glamorous but they’re an integral part of the IU experience.
