I have been searching extensively for a loan without a cosigner. Federal loans are already utilized in my situation, and I've applied for about 4 loans with my parents/grandparents as cosigners but none of them have a decent credit score. What do you suggest I do to finance my college education?

I was wondering about this too...a quick internet search says that Citibank will let you borrow up to $120,000 without a cosigner. I'll see if I can find anything else. :)

I checked Citibank, you don't need a cosigner, but you need to be creditworthy yourself...how can an 18 year old student have credit?

Your parents could have shared a CC with you, so you would have some sort of credit.

sugh You're absolutely right; the Citibank loan wouldn't work out. I'll try some more internet research.

Try really hard to go someplace that you don't need huge (or, preferably, any) loans for. You really can not imagine how painful it is going to be to pay your loans. (And $120,000 for an undergraduate???!!! Forget about it!)

I'm already set at a college, I just need to locate funds. So any help as to where I can get a loan without a cosigner and me having no credit?

i'm sorry, but what is a cosigner? and why does it seem to be hindering this individual?

A cosigner is a person that can sign a loan with you if you do not have credit or have bad credit. I do not have any relatives with good credit and I have no good credit, therefore, I need a loan where credit does not matter...any suggestions would be awesome

A cosigner is responsible for paying back a loan if you default. It's a rather big responsibility...

....Bump.....I looked at myrichuncle.com but they will only give me roughly 5000
