<p>I talked to one of the guys who had his consultation already and he said that there is a pre-op and post-op. The pre-op is in April/May and they just make sure your eye is good to go (e.g. your cornea is thick enough, your astigmatism isn't horrible, etc.) and you go through some tests. The post-op is a year after your surgery. Since PRK diminishes your night vision capabilities, that's one of the things that they look at during your post-op. The hospital has said that they've never known of anyone who has failed the post-op that passed the pre-op. So if you pass your pre-op, you're pretty good to go with the post-op. There's a certain test during your pre-op, it's called a contrast test or something. It's similar to depth perception but you have to be able to look at an image and spot a dim object. I think. I'm pretty sure that's what it tests. And you have to score a 20 out of 50 for that. I'll keep posting as I find more out. My consultation is at the end of the month.</p>
