Problem with Admissions, They made a mistake

Ok so everytime i have recieved email from Fordham, my last name was spelled incorrectly (there is an "e" in place of an "a"), So i called Fordham and they told me to email the enroll@fordham.edu So today i got an email from them just telling me what im missing, when i directly indicated that there was a mistake in my last name. They also gave me a user id and password(last name spelled incorrectly) and on there, my personal info, its spelled incorrectly as well. What should i do? just keep calling them back?

Yeah......it seems to be getting a great result.

Call & ask to speak to your admissions officer or the admissions department. They can immediately change your name on the system. What type of application did you send in? If it was sent in electronically, all the information you typed on the forms is downloaded exactly as you typed it.

I am just curious, what user id were you given? Fordham doesn't have an online system for applicants. Are you already accepted & registered? If so, call the registrar & they can change your name.

^no FordhamAlum, i too thought there was no online system, but its to the site i guess its new maybe? Basically when i log in it tells me my name some personal info, my application status, and what im missing.

I actually called today, my admissions counselor was very helpful he said to just email it to him in writing so he can get it done.

Very bizzare. My d is an EA admit & has no such password, etc.

Care to share the link?

sure

422 Group - Gateway Login

Wow, Thank you. That is very interesting. I had assumed it would be the current student site, but it indeed looks like a status site for applicants. I guess only certain applicants get a password or those with missing info? At this point - who knows! All I know now is that my d never got a password or link to the site. Thanks for the info & update.

hmm, well im sure its nothing, my stats arent all that lower than probably 90% of the students here, so i doubt its preference to students who they "want" or are going to accept.

By the way, the link that i posted is slightly different from the one i have, the one that i have the link includes my email. I just deleted my email from the link and posted.

Flamingspirit, my d has already been admitted EA for Fall 2008, so that is why this all comes as a surprise. Perhaps it is a new system that they just put in place just in time for RD. Thanks again for the update.

np, and congrats to u and ur D, good job.

Thanks. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

My S had some missing materials, his HS transcript became misplaced, which Fordham kindly informed us of. That link mentioned previously was in effect while we were having that difficulty. Now that all his materials are in and he has been accepted (!) that link is no longer active for him. Just FYI.

^ did the status change on the link?? was ur S an EA applicant?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, my son was an EA applicant. And the link went inactive after all his documents were received, we couldn't even get the link to work anymore.
