Hey everyone,
So I'm doing my U.C app for Fall 2011, and I was asked what my last high school attended was. I put the dates of 2005-2009 and then when asked about the college I'm attending I put 2008-2011 because I took some college courses at my community college during the time I was in high school. The computer popped up with an error message basically saying I can't overlap the years at my college with the years in which I was in high school. Well this is a huge concern of mine because the units I took in college are important to completing my 60 units and I have went over my transcript many times with a counselor and transfer director and they always assured me those credits would count. Does anyone know anything about this?

I’m having the same problem. It’s fairly common.

ETA: It looks like they’re working on solving it right now. (Kind of like how some transfer applicants got the freshman prompt for the personal statement.)

I was at a UC app workshop Friday, and the woman at my transfer center said that they were supposed to have fixed it last year. She made me an appointment with a UCLA rep so I could ask about it. It should be fixed soon enough.

ahhhh, thank you. should have used search function . was in panic mode tho :

No problem, I felt the same way. :)

I was flipping out when i tried to put my classes over and over again but it would not let me because it overlapped. I am glad i am not the only having this problem and hopefully it is fix by next week!

Well if you’re a transfer applicant, why do they even need your high school grades? I took two classes through other colleges in HS too and my counselor says not to worry about it. Keep in mind this is the head/honors counselor who deals with TAP apps every fall, she knows what she’s doing.

^ Sorry, I’m sort of confused. Does her “not to worry about it” mean to just not submit those classes?

Almost half of my classes (28 units) are from concurrent enrollment, of which only two classes are on my HS transcript, so I’m sure that would be a problem. But I think I misunderstood your post. Can you clarify?

Itachiurmon : Were talking about classes that we took at our community college while in high school. Any class you’ve taken at a community college that is U.C transferable will go on your transcript to the U.C and needs to be reported. So whether you took the class in high school or while you actually were attending full-time it doesn’t matter, ANY class taken at your community college needs to be reported in your course work.

The bug has been fixed! We can now go in an enter our college date

Awesome, thanks for letting us know!
