It is now clear from the Oasis response that a maximum of 8 credits will transfer over the summer. The equivalent to the USC math class is two classes here (3 plus 3 credits) and the Science class is 4 or 5 credits (depending upon where he takes the class). i.e. 10 or 11 credits total.

WHO is the person to talk to for transfer credit issues? This must be resolved before my son leaves USC to come home for the summer. Thanks so much for advice.

I was wondering if you checked out taking the two classes together. We looked at a Physics class which was 5 hours a day for the summer and they (I e maikled the prof) said you should plan on 5-6 hours of homework each night. For math class for 3 hours five days a week he was also told to have 4 hours of homework per night. This is 8 hours of class per day five days per week and 9 hours of homework. The CC and his advisor said it would be a pretty tough load with two technical classes and not to try it.

We are still at the point of just trying to find classes which will transfer to USC and fulfill requirements. At this point, I am just ready to sign up my son for these classes at USC summer but there is a time conflict there too. Who is the person in charge of planning these summer classes and making sure that they transfer to USC?
