So my D got accepted, thats great! But unfortunately as we were going to pay the housing of 225 we paid the 200 instead... careless mistake. I don't have the money to pay both now so I Was wondering if anyone has had experience with this type of situation and how I can get the money back to pay the 225... can i say it was a computer mistake of some sort?

Not only that but my D has bright futures+pre paid which pays for the 200 anyways if I'm not mistaken... thanks for the help.

From what I am reading here, you have 10 days to pay the $225, but I can’t confirm it. Others have said you have to pay now to get a priority number.

All I know is I have paid $225 and didn’t get a priority number.

How did you pay with a credit card? If so, call them tomorrow and ask them to reverse the charge. I am sure they will. Don’t make up an excuse. Just tell them the truth - you made a mistake. You meant to pay the housing deposit and you paid the tuition deposit instead. I am sure they will correct it.

I am certain they will give you the money back if you tell them it was an honest mistake and that you need the money to pay the housing deposit.

If they won’t, call your credit card company and dispute the charge. Tell them you mistakenly checked the admissions deposit to pay when you meant to check the housing deposit to pay and they should reverse the charge. But I really don’t think you will have to do that as I can’t imagine the school would not correct an honest mistake like that.
