My son is applying to top 20 schools this admissions cycle. He has completed all of the common app and is planning to submit his applications to 3 schools already (1 Single choice early action, the other two regular decision that he is just submitting very early). But he has encountered a BIG problem that he is scared about. So his school doesnt not decide his classes by yearly. He finds out at the end of every semester what classes he gets for the next semester instead of finding out the years classes at the beginning of every year. So for teh current year coruses of common app, he has the courses he IS TAKING NOW and he was planning on putting planned courses for next semester as well. However, he just found out that his availabilty for those courses might not happen so he might not be able to take them... so waht should he do?? his scedule won't be decided till like early-late november. My thoughts was to NOT put the next semesters predicted schedule (the one that he is asking his counselor for) and simply put the current one and simply email the schools his scheduled 2nd semester classes and wahtever issue prevents taking wat he wanted when that happens in november. Would that be ok?? I know these top schools take the class rigor into account. But his school is really weird and not all the courses are available every semester so sometimes he is just now capable of taking the hardest courses...

Obviously this has been a problem for other seniors at the school, talk to your counselor.
