Problem with sending SAT scores. HELP!

So I want to send my OCTOBER SAT scores and my DECEMBER SAT scores to U of Florida.
The SAT/ACT scores deadline for UF is 12/31 and I really want to send my December scores.
However, I heard that it takes a lot of time for colleges to process the scores even after they receive it.
So I am planning on sending my October SAT scores as a safety.
When I went on collegeboard SAT website today to send my October SAT scores by clicking "Send Available Scores Now", even though I never sent my SAT scores to any colleges, it saids that I have "0" Free SAT Score Reports...
However, when I click "Send Scores When Available" for my December SAT scores, I somehow have "4" Free SAT Score Reports.
Oh and when I clicked the "Send Scores When Available" for my December SAT scores, this came up, "ALL selected scores will not be sent until AFTER your December 1st SAT test scores are available."
If I am thinking right, it means that even my october SAT scores will be sent when the December SAT scores are available??
I AM SO CONFUSED!!!
The worst thing that could probably happen is that UF will not receive both of my Oct. SAT and Dec. SAT scores...
Please HELP ME.

If you want to send October score immediately you need to follow that send available scores now track and pay a fee to send them. The four free sends apply separately to each test and they expire once scores for the test come out so you have none left from Oct test. You do have four for the Dcmeber test but they can be used only for that test date. If you designate UF now in your Dec test as one of your free sends, CB will send Dec score and your Oct score when the Dec score is released.

Thank you so much.
So should I just send my October and December scores separately??
If I want to send my October scores to UF NOW, then I have to pay 11 dollars right?
What I am trying to do is just send my October scores now by paying 11 dollars and designate UF for my December scores.
Oh and another question…
Why do the four free score reports get expired once the scores come out???
So your saying that most people pay money to send scores to colleges?

If you want to send Oct score now it will cost $11. If you then also designate UF in your Dec test registration, CB will send your Oct score again along with the Dec score when the Dec score comes out. That happens because CBs default position whenever you order scores sent is to send the test score ordered plus all prior scores it has for you.

You can use your four free sends only by designating colleges in your test registration before the score is released. Why do they expire once score is released? One obvious reason is for CB to make more money. It is very common for test takers to send scores sfter they come out and pay the extra fee.

Thank you again!
Sorry for keep asking questions but I have a few more questions.
So if I pay 11 dollars and send October scores now, then UF will receive it around mid November right?
And you said that if I designate UF for my December SAT scores NOW, then all my prior scores will get sent too along with the December scores.
So your saying that my October scores will get sent twice???
And I registered for the November SAT but I missed the test because I somehow forgot to bring my Photo ID…
You said UF will receive all of my scores if I designate UF for Dec. Scores so I’m kinda worried…
Will UF see my November scores even though I missed the test??
Or will my November scores be automatically canceled and not even be recorded?

There will be no November score. CB sends scores and nothing else. They won’t send a note saying you missed a test. And you can always use score choice so as to avoid sending the October scores twice, although clearly there is no harm in sending them twice.

What CB does

If you do not take a test that you registered for, it is automatically canceled and CB sends colleges nothing on that test.

If you order scores sent for a fee, CB will always send all current and past scores it has for you unless you exercise score choice and uncheck one of the prior tests on the order you fill out to send scores.

If you designate colleges in a test application as your free sends, then when that test score is released CB will send those colleges the scores for that test and all prior tests it has for you unless you exercise score choice and choose not to send a prior score.

CB will “send” the scores to UF by placing them in an on-line account that UF has with CB. If you order via paying a fee, it may take up to week to process that order and get that score into the UF account. Why that long? Because despite that you are using computers, human beings need to review and verify that order for sending and CB has a limited number of human beings to handle the orders it gets and it is receiving many such orders daily. If you order it as one of your free sends in a test application and you do not exercise score choice as to any prior scores, CB will place that test score and any prior scores into UFs account two days before the score is actually released to you. Exercising score choice can result in some extra time because human beings have to review to verify those kinds of orders. Once the scores are in UFs account, UF then must go into that account, download the scores, and then match the scores with application files. That can take anywhere from a couple days to two weeks depending on college and its own files and how often it feels like doing a download from its CB account.

Colleges do not mind receiving scores twice. It happens all the time.

sorry to revive this thread
but say you took the Dec. SAT
s and dont think you did well so you choose not to use the free score report. but then, if you take the Jan SAT
s and send
all available scores
, won
t it show up anyway? So, why not just sent them now while it
s free?

And to confirm, there`s no way to only send one of your subject tests right…?

^if you cancel that Dec test by the Wed after the test, it will never show up anywhere. If you don’t and get a score, then it would be sent with the Jan tests unless you exercise score choice and choose not to send that particular test.

As to subject tests you can choose not to send one or more of them, even subject tests you took on the same test day. You just cannot use your free sends for a particular test day without sending all tests taken on that day. That per-designation of colleges to receive scores upon release applies to the particular test day and to use it you must send all tests taken that day. Once scores come out, you can then send the tests and choose which ones to send. For example if you took three subject tests in Dec, you would have to send all three if using your free sends, but if you wait to order scores sent after the Dec scores come out or even just want to send some with your Jan test, you can choose which ones to send.
