<p>I know this might be a very stupid question, but I think I need to ask anyway. </p>
<p>When I register for a toefl test, they ask me to put in four colleges that I am applying to. My question is: do I have to put my school list online at this stage? Can I change it later? (I still haven't got a final school list) What if I'm applying to more than four universities? </p>

<p>You can enter the 4 universities up to about 24h before the test. However some students have encountered problems with this so it’s better if you can enter them when you register or well before the deadline.
You should enter either universities from your list that have the lowest TOEFL requirement (if you think you’ll need to take the test twice you’ll keep the universities with the higher requirements for the second sitting) or universities that you’re sure you’ll apply to (if you think you’ll meet their requirements on the first try).
You cannot get your “free reports” AFTER you take the test. You have to enter 4 names when you register or before the test date.
Your scores are generally considered valid for 2 years so if you send your scores this year for Fall 2015 your scores will be admitted as part of your application regardless of the year you sent them (2013 or 2014).</p>
<p>@MYOS1634: thanks for your input. But does this mean after I sit the test, the score report is DEFINITELY sent to the four colleges? Is there a way to cancel the score (just like in SAT)? And what if I’m applying to more than four colleges but I don’t have time to sit the test twice? Do I need to pay for extra score reports? Thank you. </p>
