Process is so frustrating and puzzling

Joining! D1 (MT) is leaving TOMORROW to move to NYC and D2 (Acting) and I leave Saturday for Chicago Unifieds.

@MTmom2017 I feel you! We will have to try to meet in Chicago!!

While there are plenty of great antidotal stories on here, if you have not read the following saga, I think it gives a good snapshot of what to expect. I read it when originally written but went back to read again to remind myself of the process. Keep in mind, this was a male too:

It is a subjective process. Subjective analyses are always going to be confusing. My D (5 years ago now - wow!!) had one auditioner tell her how wonderful she was, even came out and went on and on with my wife about how great she was. Didn’t get accepted. And then got accepted to two programs that said nothing during her audition. Go figure.

Just have to roll with it, and not let it get to you. You show stress as a parent it only makes your child’s stress even worse. And wait till you have to go through auditions for college performances, etc. Never ends.

The official letter came today. Now to figure out the finances…
