procrastinated..

Well, here I am. Signed up for the Environment Science (Tuesday) and Human Geo (next Friday) exams, and I haven't exactly spent a whole lot of time studying. I have Barron's for both of them, but have just started looking through the book (I didn't take classes for either.)

I know a good bit about world geography and such, so I'm wondering if I ought to just drop the enviro science and just cram Human Geo. I'd rather come out with 3 credits than none.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Do you think it's possible to study for both and actually pass?

If you didn’t take a class for either and you haven’t studied at all yet…no, I don’t think your chances look too great. Sorry. :(

On the other hand, if you are one of those rare people who retains every little detail you read when cramming for a test, you MIGHT have a chance. And you do have some time; 2 more days for Environment Science and 5 more days for Human Geo. So, then again, if you really put in some hard work these next few days, you might have a chance. It all depends on your work ethic. If you’re serious about getting credit for these exams, then get off CC and get to work!

Good luck. :)

HAHA. I’m in the EXACT SAME situation as you are. Except my self-studies are APES, Micro and Macro (thank god for AP World…I get to take Macro on late test day) and I have barely started on ANY of them cuz I was too lazy to :/

All I can say is keep pushing, you’ll manage. I procrastinated on self-studying gov last year till the last week…took a practice 2 days before and got a 2. I ended up with a 5, so I guess the cramming helped! Haha.

Good luck (:

I haven’t started studying for Bio yet, but at least I took the course in school

same here ='(

I’m screwed too, except for economics. And I’m self-studying APES and Psych as well, but I got through the books at least… Econ, I’m not even done yet. :frowning: Haha, I’m relieved that I’m not the only one in such a situation.

Let’s see… For environmental science, you should go for it if you’ve taken biology. You’ll also notice that human geography overlaps with APES on quite a few concepts.

Definitely concentrate more on Human Geography, though. It’s not too difficult (it’s interesting) but there are more concepts that you’ll need to learn. APES, on the other hand, is probably stuff that you already know. You probably just need to touch up on topics, since it’s mostly biology and human geography mixed with some chemistry.

If you can, try to take Monday off of school (at my school, so many people have been taking AP tests so we haven’t been productive in lots of classes, so it doesn’t matter much) and study APES all day. You gotta push for it!

After that, just cram Human all the way through.

You might as well take them. As far as I know, colleges don’t penalize you for low scores and APs are self-reported anyway. And who knows, you might end up doing well.

Well I decided to just drop the Enviro. I have to film a movie all Monday and edit it Tuesday, so I don’t have too much time for it. I took the practice test at the end and only knew about 20% of the MCs, so…

But I’m still taking the Geo one. I know more about that subject to begin with, and I’ll have more time, so I should be able to pull off a 3 or 4.

lol…procrastination…
i did that for calc bc…and now for physics…i mean i had studied the book before these few weeks but never really understood the stuff…not a good idea…:(

anamai, yeah I find to really get everything learned you need at least 2 months of studying. (I was in an AB class last year and I just used 2 months and got a 5 on the BC test).

^2 months is a long time. I took AB Calc this year, and probably failed the BC exam cuz i spent around only 25 hrs self-studying BC topics. If i get a 4+ on BC, it’d be a freaking miracle.

Has anybody heard of any amazing procrastination success stories?

blueducky, i did the same thing as you…except even worse…cuz i took ab calc last year…but over the year i had been reviewing my ab and learned like the easy bc stuff…then i spent the whole day before (yes, stupid me)…to study all the bc topics…i think i will be getting a 2 or 3

Heh, i’m sure you didn’t too horribly, cuz I ended up not studying for AB at all. You probably did last year lol. (actually, i haven’t studied AB all year and i had a solid A in the class so i got somewhat cocky ooooooops)

oh well it’s senior year, i just can’t seem to care much for AP’s anymore :)

oh…yeah, i did get a 4 on ab…so i knew the ab stuff pretty solid…(i think)…just not the bc stuff…
