Procrastination

I. hate. myself.

I never learn.

punch myself in stomach

This is a raaaaaaaaaaaaaant.

Aww, sorry:( I know what you mean. I have a problem with procrastination as well. (sigh) I need motivation haha:)

I HAVE MOTIVATION.

Yet nothing gets done.

…

slap

Haha, I suppose I do too. I wonder what causes procrastination. Maybe we are lazy? Haha, I’m not sure:/

Obviously we are lazy

Now if someone was to threaten me with my life, I WOULDN’T PROCRASTINATE

Gah, but where are we going to get someone like that? :/

I am procrastinating as we speak. My chances of getting into my reaches is slowly fading away with every dormant minute. Yet I still procrastinate.

Does anyone have any solutions to solve our common problem?:/

same here. I hate myself for it. I’ve been doing nothing and wasting time online for hours everyday for the past few weeks now when I have a lot to do. I just don’t want to do it but I need to do it and I feel so bad for not doing it but I still don’t do it.

Just keep telling yourself you enjoy studying. And maybe, after awhile, you’ll succeed in brainwashing yourself.

It kind of worked for me lol.

I know how you feel. I ALWAYS do this when it comes to papers. I have to write a 1-page paper, which is like the easiest thing to do, but the book is sooooo boring so I sit around on the computer. The epitome of ■■■■■■■■.

Step 1:
Make a goal

Step 2:
Set a deadline (e.g. 2 weeks from now)

Step 3:
Make a bet (e.g. $10 for each week of failure)

Step 4:
Work your behind off to fulfill your goal in order not to pay the fine with money you don’t have.

Things I have accomplished with www.stickk.com:

 • Lose weight (lots of them)
 • Learn 500 GRE vocab
 • Read three major books
 • Lose weight.

If you discovered that no normal motivations could get you working, putting up your own can cash (and losing it) can strike the fear of laziness into your heart.

A college student’s story about her own battle with procrastination and other problems and her losing $50 to George W. Bush.

Embrace procrastination…for now.

Eventually we’ll all grow up and stop. I’m pretty sure it has a lot to do with us being silly teenagers.

Any more advice?

Haha, That would never work for me. I would just not make my goal and feel like even more of a failure :frowning: oh well, at least I get to relax while I procrastinate

Just do the damn work. It’s called life.

^lol .

Well, if you procastinate long enough, sometimes the problem goes away.

Yes, it usually ends with a big F on your paper…
I think I’ll stick to trying to overcome it lol
