I can’t imagine anyone would come on a public forum to exploit a tragedy like this. I really don’t understand some of these posts. Our D was in touch with her mom in near real-time to let her know all was well. The students and faculty (who are the folks who are actually affected) were kept informed much more fully and quickly that some similar situations, it seems to me. We had a family friend under lock-down when there was a tragic event at UCLA engineering last year. The process seemed very similar. Our hearts go out to all the families and students affected by any of these tragedies. It takes a particular level of callous to play some sort of CC political football with these events.
