Has anyone had any prior experience with Prof. Leitner, H.M or Prof. Sullivan, R.E in the Geography department (or other departments)? Their classes seem really interesting but I'd like some opinions before enrolling. Bruinwalk and RateMyProfessor weren't helpful this time.

Are you a geography major?

Geography/Environmental Studies Minor. Why?

My sister was a geography major I’ll ask her. What classes do you plan on taking for spring?

Great, thanks! So far I’m just getting some G.Es out of the way (Writing II and Visual/Performing Arts.) What is your sister doing now with her Geography Major?

She’s an associate at Goldman Sachs. I texted her hopefully I’ll get a response soon. Are you leaning towards those 2 courses?

And what’s the difference between just a geography major and a geog/enviromental major?

You can learn about the differences here:

[UCLA Department of Geography - Undergraduate Program](http://www.geog.ucla.edu/undergrad/undergrad.php)

There isn’t a huge difference. Geog/Environmental Studies requires you to take a more structured/categorized set of classes and it has an extra class for prep.

That’s an interesting transition for your sister. Was she only a Geography major or did she have a business/finance major as well?

And yeah, I might take those two classes.

I got the text, it said that they’re both pretty easy. sullivan gives 2 essay exams and leitner take-home essays.

No she was strictly a geography major. I think having a ucla degree in general helps you get to places lol

Good to know, Appreciate it
