I just started my college career and have a rather novice question. My professor told us last week that she won't be in class one day this week, so does that mean that the class is cancelled for that day? I know it might be different everywhere, but just curious as to the general consensus. I emailed her directly but have yet to receive a response.

Generally speaking that means no class that day

My S has never had a make-up class at Fordham when a prof. has been out…at college people have such different schedules in terms of classes/work/other commitments that it is virtually impossible to gather everyone together for a make-up.

Thank you for the advice! I’m a commuter so going down for this class if in fact it wouldn’t meet would be a waste of time for me.
