Professor Recommendation... too good?

I am curious, do you think it is possible to have too good of a recommendation?

uh..no...why would a college not love a great recommendation?

Definitely, if they see an extremely well written LOR and all this good stuff about you, there is no chance you will be accepted. The first thing they will do is reject you because college is about getting drunk every single night and unless your teacher is talking about the 40's you were bongin why would they want you.

this is so stupid

If a rec sounds "too good to be true" and doesn't show specific in-depth knowledge of the student, but is generic and vague, I think it could be a problem.

Otherwise, I can't imagine a rec being "too good."

its a possibility

if you've got a perfect rec letter that doesn't mention any flaws and your gpa isn't all that great than it would look a little shady dont you think?

.. k its shady to begin with
the answer is NO
