Yea, some more safety undergraduate business schools would be nice, thanks.
Safeties have to be affordable and your stats have to be well within their published accepted range. How much can your parents pay per year? What are your stats?
$20,000 is probably maximum (after merit scholarships and financial aid of course). Stats: 4.0 GPA, 1510 SAT, 7 AP’s. Need anything else?
Yeah whats your home state?
New York
Income is in 75 to 100 range.
Your parents are going to pay $20k/year out of a $75k income? You need to get a firm number from them.
Your stats should make you eligible for merit somewhere. You income makes you eligible for the NYS Excelsior tuition grant.
Yes, they are, and that’s beside the point. What are some good safety undergraduate business schools that fit my stats and information?
Syracuse University (In state, ok business program)
The University of Flordia (A little expensive for out of state, great business program, great potential for you to earn merit scholarships especially with your stats)
Southern Methodist University (expensive, good merit scholarships, good business program, )
The University of South Florida (Extremely cheap for out of state, great ROI, lots of scholarships, overall really good safety)
The University of Central Florida (cheap for out of state, large school in Orlando)
Florida State University (Also extremely cheap for out of state, great ROI, lots of scholarships, overall really good safety)
Purdue University
Ohio University
Syracuse is a private school. The total cost of attendance is over $70,000 a year.
Out of this list, I think Syracuse University, Univesity of Florida, and Florida State are the best safeties. All have good business programs. They also offer good merit scholarships on top of already low tuition.
Oh yeah…I forgot that Syacruse was that expensive.
Ohio state is pretty good too
@“anxious ladybug” How are you determining which schools have the “best” business professors?
Forget professors, what are some good, affordable safety business schools for me?
Safeties are tough, Nick, because in order to be a safety you have to stand a good chance of getting in and get enough aid to make it affordable. Make sure you run the net price calculator at each college website.
You might want to check Stony Brook, Binghamton, or Albany for in state schools. The Univ. of AL might have enough aid.
Have you thought about what types of schools you like – size, location, etc? Applying is about more than stats, so make sure you can write strong “why x university” essays.
Thanks for the help bro
