I would suggest knowing C (some C++ knowledge would be nice too) and Java. Most intro classes i've seen use C/C++, Java or Python.

Try to become fimiliar with MatLab if you can...while its not a language, its a subset of C that a lot of schools seem to use (mine inlcuded). Also, you can do many of the things you can in C in matlab, and it has specific applications for engineering..

I'd say Java, C/C++, Python

Java, C, C++, Scheme.

You can get lectures and the textbook (Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs) from MIT. Lectures are also available at Ars Digita.

You can get lectures for the above languages from Berkeley's CS61 sequence. They include MIPs Assembler.

Anant Agarwal has a course on MIT OCW on the EE side. He's written a textbook that's the text for the course.

I'd suggest learning some discrete math too. Very useful in some EE and CS courses.

I would start with Python in high school. Python is a great introductory language.

thanks a lot guys.

i'll be messing around with those programs during weekends =)
