Recieved an invitation from the Coordinator of Multicultural Recruitment, along with the acceptance letter. Is anyone going? It's on Aril 18, 2009. Congrat on your acceptance.

Just made arrangements for my son to attend. He’s coming from Texas, so will fly in Friday and stay two nights to be able to enjoy both Prologue and XLC. He had a Saturday tour (only) during Spring Break, so this will definitely allow him to get a better feel for the school. From what he’s seen/read, Lafayette looks great to him (and us), especially for undergraduate engineering, along with Villanova (which has a competing weekend event). His other options are larger schools (Purdue, Colorado, Texas A&M), which have some appeal, but probably won’t make the cut (cheaper, though, esp. TAMU!). Lafayette’s admissions folks (and marketing/information generally) have been impressive. Don’t know if that translates across the faculty or to the education itself, but it still makes for a great first impression.
