Prom? No License = No Car? What do I do?

So my date has no car. And I my license is suspended until I'm 18 (don't ask), and I turn 18 in the summer. What the heck am I going to do? And no, my parents aren't driving us...

I just got it suspended too.. 4 months with no car is going to be so sad =...(

Rent a limo with some of your friends and each split the cost, you could get it down to about $80 a person. It’s a great alternative if you can afford it.

Date can drive his/her parent’s car?

Go with another couple?/a group of people?
Or walk/take public transportation. I think that’s kinda badass for prom.

Does the limo pick you up at your house and drop everyone at their own houses? Or will there be one pickup spot.

She can’t drive at all. Like she never got her license.

I live in an area where EVERYONE uses a car. There is basically little to none public transportation. You need a car to get around. But I’m now considering the other couple thing.

If Limo is too expensive, could you take a taxi…?

You could just rent a limo. I’m not sure how prom dates work but I don’t think it would be weird if you picked up your date in a limo. She’d probably like that :)

If the limo doesn’t work, go with another couple in their car. As in a group, not just carpooling lol

If you get enough people for the limo, it’ll be relatively cheap. For my prom, it was bout $12 per person for 4pm - 1am. I’m not sure which company it was, but the driver was (at least I saw) responsible and we had a good time in the limo.

I don’t know about in your area, but for me it would be strange NOT to go with a group to prom? Unless you and your date are really serious(in which case you can still go with a group anyway). Find a group and go from there.

My date couldn’t drive last year and I didn’t have a car. We ended up going with another couple.

I think I’ve always gone in groups to prom… that’s usually the norm here.
