Is there anyone who still hasn’t been notified? I haven’t.

I think by now there has probably been some mistake

I was also deferred fingers crossed for May
EDIT: email received at 4:56 CST

When did u get the email?

Has anyone heard from PROMYS regarding the CMI Scholarship for European Students? I’m still waiting for an email from them.

WOW this is a lot more like college decisions then it used to
good luck guys!

For those of you who got in, join the facebook group here:
<a href=“PROMYS 2014 | Facebook”>https://www.facebook.com/groups/533348120115893/
Edit: if the link isn’t showing up, so just search “PROMYS 2014” on facebook.

You can get a chance to see the returning students/counselors and maybe talk to them too

Do I need to have a extremely rigorous back ground or as a freshman am I completely doomed? I solved 8 out of the 10 problems but I’m worried they would reject me because of my mathematical background.

I am in !!!

waiting for SUMAC answer - ANY advice on what to chose?

I think I might choose PROMYS over SUMAC, might not be the same for you though.

SUMAC is supposed to be pretty solid too

Okay.

There are 56 members in the promys group, 12 of which are counselors/teachers. That leaves 44 students. Promys typically has 60 first year students and 20 returning students. If we assume that all returning students are already in the facebook group, then there are still about 36 slots open.

Fingers still crossed for regular. Anyone know if they’ll admit you earlier or if all decisions come out May 1?

@mazdak26 a bunch of the people in the group (especially the ones who were added the earliest) are promys alum who just love the camp enough to join in the fun of welcoming first years but cannot/are not going back (You’ll see the draw if you do come to PROMYS this summer ). Also there are a bunch of admitted first years who aren’t in the group because they don’t have facebook or do not know that a group exists… etc. Also, like any college/summer program, PROMYS will admit more students than they expect to come because some people will choose to spend their summer elsewhere
Sooo it’s really hard to predict these things. Chill out guys! After you apply, all you can do is wait. Good luck (:

7 Days! Good luck to all.

5 days…

4 days, fingers crossed

42 hours
