<p>Some months ago there was talk about how the UC's ask 1/10 of their applicants to show proof of EC's and awards.</p>

<p>Has anyone been asked or know someone who has been asked to provide proof of EC's?</p>

<p>I have a related question:</p>

<p>If we drop out of a club do we have to notify the college we applied to by mail?
I dropped out of a club because it was b.s. and more of a "social gathering." I don't want UC to think that I dropped out because I couldn't handle it though. Any suggestions?</p>

<p>Well, if you have an award, you should at least have the award with you so you can scan it and send it if they ask, and if you were in a club, you could ask a club adviser for a roster to prove your participation in the club.</p>

<p>hey, i just read the thread. Do they send it AFTER they receive the updated info? or is it already selected? I'm a little worried I might get one, too. But I should be fine in getting the proofs, etc. But still. Jw</p>

<p>if you were gonna get one you would have gotten it by now. According to this it seems like they only check freshman applications UC</a> Notes - November 2008 </p>

<p>"During evaluation, the University selects a random sample of freshman applicants who must submit verification documents in order to be considered for admission. Prospective students whose applications are selected for verification will be notified in early January; the deadline for submitting the requested documentation is Jan. 31."</p>
