Proposed Florida law would allow guns to be carried on campus

Well, some of the problem frats have recolonized again and AGAIN.

Dr. Cowie’s testimony before the Fl Senate Criminal Justice Committee yesterday begins at the 18:25 mark in the video linked below. Dr. Cowie asked that gun bill SB 234 be defeated in memory of his killed daughter Ashley Cowie. Further discussion about SB 234 was postponed by the committee.

SB 234 was amended in a Florida senate committee meeting today removing the language that would have allowed guns to be carried concealed or openly on campus by concealed weapons permit holders!

Ashley Cowie’s death, and public outcry, directly influenced change in bad gun bill SB 234 yesterday:

I’m all for gun-rights, but I would not feel safer if the dude sitting next to me in class was armed. I don’t think there were many students that were in favor of this bill. So glad this fell through.

You folks really are the product of public education.

Ever hear the old saying “an armed society is a polite society”? Well it’s true. If the other students where armed when the loon at VT went off, he would have been popped and casualties would have been few, if any. The police can’t be there in an instant, you have to wait, and many are incompetent. If you are armed, others who are armed are less likely to go off because, again, they will get popped. People will commit less crime if they know there is a high likely hood they will get shot, basic survival instinct. And those that have lost it, and decide to go on a killing spree, well they will be put down much faster, and many many lives would be saved. So wise up and stop excepting the ignorant B.S. your public school systems spoon feed to you.

You’re in college now, think for your self. Don’t just except what people tell you, research it your self.

I always walk around carrying a lightning rod just in case I get hit by a lightning bolt so I’ll be grounded and the bolt will go right into the ground. It’s a long shot, just like getting involved in a campus shooting spree, but I’m always ready just in case.
