Can anyone (current students or just anyone who knows about Cornell) tell me some of the pros and cons of going Cornell? I'm still trying to make the decision and having a hard time.. thanks in advance.

First, what I hear a lot of that it's in middle of nowhere. Can someone elaborate on that please?

I believe the pros and cons have been discussed quite extensively throughout this Cornell forum. Try to use the "Search this Forum" feature to find the info you need.

Okay, yeah it is in the middle of nowhere, but it's not like Ithaca is a horrible hick town or anything. You have everything you need there and it seems like a really fun place. And I'm sure there's always stuff going on either in Ithaca or on campus, so you're not going to bored unless you want to be.

pros: good food, collegetown, big greek life, good academics, HUGE alumni network, a lot of activities and course offerings...
cons: walking to class in winter can be a pain, you miss cities after a while, campus is huge so you don't see your friends unless they live close to you or you make a date.

grade deflation depends on college ur in and course ur in. all my classes are pretty standard, maybe a half letter grade curve at the most. its certainly not easy to get an A or A+ though...
