I was accepted to GA tech EA for BME. I am hearing back from many other schools in March but I am beginning to think if I would like to attend GA Tech. What are the pros and cons of Georgia Tech? Social life, academics, culture, weather, city, safety, etc, can someone please describe? As of now, I am a BME Pre Med, but if I like engineering I may abandon pre med and continue engineering.
@yaleivyleague Here is the cool outdoor education options to learn kayaking, mountain biking and rock climbing at GaTech:

Access to Emory University Medical school for BME research!!!
GaTech has more clubs than most schools of its size:

Three season nice weather with occasional shut downs for light snow.
Olympic pool on campus, with top Recreation Center.
Atlanta offers a nice downtown, and public transportation ( MARTA) and easy access to city fun with Uber.
Lots of good job connections and solid alumni network.
Greek life is strong at GaTech but students in dorms or off campus housing still have great social lives.
Its easy to find friends given the strong out of state presence at GaTech, if you are from OOS.
Spectator football and basketball right on campus, good school spirit
Cons-
Registration will be frustrating in freshman year, but gets easier
Weaker classes in English, although history and international studies are strong along with world languages
Student body may be more narrow than others, although business college is also strong
Georgia Tech’s partnership with Emory and Children’s Healthcare is amazing. https://www.emory.edu/home/research/centers-partners/georgia-tech.html
This is a video of the types of things they are doing. Dr Goudy is a family member which is how I heard about it originally. Amazing! http://www.rh.gatech.edu/news/611619/3d-printed-tracheal-splints-used-groundbreaking-pediatric-surgery
