What are the pros/cons of going to Georgia Tech as a mechanical engineering major?

I’m finalizing my college decision and just want a quick pro/cons of Tech’s engineering program as well as the school in general.

GT ME is a very tough major. Sure you would learn a lot but lots of work too.

Agree with above. GaTech is also used to be called Southern MIT because how hard classes are. It is truly nerds school.

What are your alternatives?

Con: it is not easy
Pros: one of the top programs in the country, excellent internships and co-op opportunities, top engineering recruiting, direct admit to major, great campus and location, still has the big time college sports experience (if that interests you), readily accepts many transfer and AP credits
