Pros and Cons of Midd

I'm currently deciding between Middlebury and two larger schools (University of Virginia and Boston College) and would like a little input on what Midd excels at and where it may be lacking. I'm weighing all three options and am feeling pretty conflicted, any advice helps.

Go to Midd, silly. Unless you are a sports nut or hate snow. Your classes will be smaller and more challenging, and the students are all happy.
Seriously the only reason to pick UVA first would be the weather, and BC would be if you really want to be in a city. Otherwise it’s Midd all the way.

It would help to know your academic focus and some of your interests, but that’s what I think for pretty much everything else.

If I lived in Va. I’d pick UVA. Love Midd and couldn’t have dreamed for a better education and friendships, support etc for our son. But with no financial aid, hefty travel expenses etc, It’s been an expensive journey. fortunately, S has always done well so that we feel he has taken advantage of the opportunities. But still… we are in for over 230K.

Unless money is a factor (in-state U-Va tuition) if it was up to me, Middlebury hands down.

But our opinions don’t matter.
It’s a matter of what is important to you.
