Like a lot of high school seniors, I'm not really sure what I want to major in. I'm leaning towards computer science but want to take courses in biomed/electrical engineering. Is there any strategic advantage in applying to an engineering major vs a non-engineering major as far as admission is concerned?

I am pretty sure that there is no real advantage. You are admitted to Yale College regardless because they do not separate their engineering undergraduate school.

There’s no advantage - I think you have to write an extra essay if you’re applying to engineering, which might help your application, but that’s about it.
