Pros/Cons of NC State

Hey Guys, I’m currently trying to decide between NCSU and another school, so I would like to hear some pros/cons of State from those with experience with it. I’m planning to do Biomedical Engineering so thoughts about the engineering college would be greatly appreciated, but overall pros/cons of the school are useful. Thanks!

I did an internship during the summer there and the Centennial campus is beautiful!!! (The engineering campus). The research opportunities are amazing and all the professors are very friendly (at least in the computer science department). It is really near Cary and downtown where most of the malls and activities are so that’s nice. Also, if you live in Wolf Village there is a supermarket really near (walk in distance) and a wendys, McDonalds, two gas stations, an Italian place among other places. The Wolf Village (4 bedroom apartments) is really nice. I would live there, but freshmen can’t apply for them. Apart from that, I don’t think it has much of a social life. Wolf Village kept having BBQs and activities during the summer, but the parties and I guess that if you look really hard you will find them. I honestly threw a couple of dorm parties, which were pretty cool because we had a lot of space in the apartment, but nothing really big. I had a lot of fun though, really nice location, beautiful campus, great professors, but kind of boring if you like to go out a lot.
