UVA students and alumni: what are the best things about UVA (both academic and non-academic related 
)?
The people! At such a big school, there are so many diverse communities. Whether you already know which clubs and activities you might want to do or if you stumble upon one you’ve never thought of before when you come to Grounds, there’s a perfect community for everyone. I’ve made such incredible friends and met countless amazing people that I’m just in awe of. Whether it’s their talent or personality or something else, the people at UVA are really great. Most people are very friendly and kind. I’ve often seen students using their guest swipes to let a student they don’t know into the dining halls if they ran out of swipes.
