Hi. I'm a rising high school senior looking for the best college for me to pursue choral music education. I want to go somewhere where I'll get a great vocal education, be able to participate in top notch choral ensembles, but still get a sort of liberal arts education and be able to take good classes outside of my own major. So where is the best college to get a world class music education (with an empasis on choir) and still get a good liberal arts education?

Illinois Wesleyan
Lawrence
Millikin

In the west—Look at Chapman

St. Olaf south of Minneapolis: outstanding choirs (among the very best of US college choirs) and very strong academics.

Westminster Choir College should be on your list for consideration with their excellent choirs

WCC and St. Olaf would be at the top of the list.

You may also want to consider Concordia College. There are a lot of schools with Concordia in the name. The one I mean is in Moorhead MN.

James Madison
