How is the campus at DePauw?
What can you tell me about the student life?
Do people party there a lot? What can you do for "fun? (I’m sort of a party girl)
How are the academics? Is it competitive? How hard would it be to maintain a GPA of AT LEAST 3.0 for Computer Science?
How is dining? What can I expect? Are the meal plans reasonable? Out of campus dining? Does it get boring?
What is there outside campus? Anything interesting? What’s the closest big city?
Is it LGBT friendly?
Strong academics.
Professional outlook. More conservative than most secular lacs.
If by party you mean drinking then DePauw is famous for that. Strong Greek life too. Working hard/play hard type of atmosphere .

Accepted at Depauw with 27K Scholarship.

Yeah, sucks to not have your need met.
I heard back by email through the admission offer. He specifically stated that I was offered one of the highest scholarships they can offer though not enough.
I’m from Pakistan btw.
P.S They evaluate per application and then send out the decision. Few of my peers got the decision 3 weeks ago. I got it now. Totally depends on when your app comes in line.
That’s well. I applied in early December. So pretty sure that means a rejection then.
@TrishaAgarwal No it doesn’t. It means nothing. Just because they take longer doesn’t mean you’re rejected. Maybe they are confused about you. Most applications are easy accepts and rejects. Then there’s the unsure pile. Usually those take a little longer. It can go either way right now.

Alright so I just heard back from DePauw. At an odd time for sure( it’s not even 6 EDT).
The email has confused me a little. There was no “Congratulations you have been accepted to DePauw University” or “We would love to offer you a place in our class of 2020”.
It was straight into talking about giving me 34K scholarship which they said was one of their highest(doesn’t meet my need though). What confused me was this line, " To confirm your admission we would need to see an increase in family contribution to (said amount) ".So does that mean that my acceptance depends on me submitting the CoF? Is that even possible?
I maybe reading too far into the mail but I’m just trying to be sure!
Yes, that’s exactly it. If you have sufficient money as proved by CoF, you’re in. If not, let them know so that they can offer the scholarship to someone else.
I’ve emailed Mr. Jirari asking for a confirmation. Let’s see what he says.
