prospective transfer retook a class, do i still have a shot

I am applying for transfer from George Mason University as a Junior to UVA. I recieved 2 F's in Macro Econ and Calc. I retook the courses in the summer at Mason and I now have a 3.82 gpa. I was told by my counselor that the grade is compeltely erased but it still shows that I retook the class.

Assuming I maintain my gpa do I still have a shot for admission into the school of arts and sciences?

I attend NVCC, but I know that schools like U.Va and W & M as a matter of policy recompute your GPA with your grades from classes you retook averaged out. Thus, if you got an F in one class but retook it and got an A, in terms of GPA to UVA that's as if you got a C both times. Who knows though, they may give you props for improvment.
