I'm wondering if this book is good. And are there any differences between the 2004 edition and the 2005 edition?

For those who've used this book, could you please comment?

obviously the biggest differnece is that it covers the new SAT

sorry, my mistake. i meant the 2005 and 2006 editions. both are the new SAT.

I have the 2005 edition and used it before the may testing. my verbal and writting marks seem to jump alot from test to test on that book, but math remained at high 700 (although never gotten 800 on that book)
on average, it over estimated my verbal and writting score by 40-50 points each and underestimated my math score. but that could just be because the emotional influences on the test day.

I have the 2006 edition and I agree with lynda. Math seems a little harder but the W and CR sections are easier.

So is this book worth buying? (for practice purposes) or are there better books? I already have kaplan's 12 practice tests, but i'm looking for more.

cling, the only thing I would suggest for you is the blue book. if you actually finish all 12 tests from kaplan's book and check/understand all answers then your score would become pretty stable. further practices wouldnt nessesisarily increase your score. in my opinion 12 full length tests are more than enough to measure your sat score, practice testing techniques and improve your score. in the case the blue book would help you measure your scores with actual college board questions. (also provide you with the more practice that you want)
