<p>I was kind of annoyed that the PSC people hadn’t even sent me anything to at least say I had lost, which I figured on… but this past Wednesday the 3rd, I actually got called down to my office for something to do with this scholarship! It turned out that they had mailed my school in mid-feb, and they were supposed to mail me my bit. They just decided to hand-deliver it, but what was really cool is that there’s other recognitions!
No, I wasn’t a state honoree, but for having a ton of community service hours (I think like 500+), I got a letter from President Obama! Even though it’s not money, there are consolation awards like this “President’s Volunteer Service Award,” and they look GREAT on college apps! Hopefully everyone hears one way or another by next week. =)</p>
