The answer to the one with X, B, and A is definitely 1.

Can someone compile all the hard CR questions?

Here are some correct answers (I think)

Halycon…Onerous
point out something noteworthy ( something like that for the TV passage)
Munificence
Resentment???
Somber…Wry?
Emote

LOLOL. I wish. Actually, my practice test this year went down from last year’s score (yeah, I know, I got dumber). And I’m pretty sure I went down for the actual score this year, so there’s absolutely no way. Gah.

I’ll just have to do really well on the SAT, then.

Man, I wanted NMSF so bad. sigh :(

These look correct to me.

^ a negative times a negative is a positive, greater than 0

what about xyz = negative integer?

I put 1 and 2 because YZ doesn’t HAVE to be >0 (question said MUST)
here’s a counterexample: -1 * -3 * -5

@sephora2
I really hope you’re right that it was only I and II, because that’s what I put, but I’m also fairly certain that in the diagram of the line, x came before y which came before z, implying that x is less than y which is less than z. So y and z couldn’t be smaller negative numbers than x :(

"Halycon…Onerous
Munificence
Resentment???
Somber…Wry?
Emote "

I think I put all of those answers.

elainen: -1 * -3 * -5

X is negative 5
does it work!?

"what about xyz = negative integer?

I put 1 and 2 because YZ doesn’t HAVE to be >0 (question said MUST)
here’s a counterexample: -1 * -3 * -5"

if y and z are both negative, x must be negative as it is less than both y and z. Thus xyz is still negative.

in your “counter example” yz is still > 0!!!

here’s a counterexample: -1 * -3 * -5

Um no that doesnt work

cause yz would be -3 * -5 which is POSITIVE 15 - therefore, y>0

@RAlec
I think that would work, but again, I think y and z had to be larger than x.
Or maybe it wouldn’t work. I hate math.

"Halycon…Onerous
Munificence
Resentment???
Somber…Wry?
Emote "

Crap. I think I put pontificate. What the hell was I thinking? EMOTE sounds like EMOTION oh god I am an idiot.

I guessed halcyon and onerous - and I’m pretty sure it was somber and wry… but I got the rest wrong :(

x y z
-5 -3 -1
yz = (-3)(-1) = 3

Wouldn’t Bach question have an error at (was dependent) since it should be changed to depended.

Continuing compilation of CR answers. If you don’t agree with them please point it out. Add on to it! And if anyone would start a math and writing compilation, that would be great!

what were the planet questions?

^i definitely don’t think he was disputing statistics. he even explicitly admits that the reading report or w/e did have the numbers and stuff… he was just saying that the report’s INTERPRETATION of those statistics wasn’t good
I’m pretty sure he was describing the limitations of the survey.

24 I said something like limitations of statistics?

was that a choice lol?

also is this “Advancement in life” the severely limited one?

what was the question for “cheerful…angry”
