silverturtle…so using you info…what would you say for my scores?

CR: 5-6 wrong
M: 2 wrong
W: 2-3 wrong

silverturtle…so using you info…what would you say for my scores?

CR: 5-6 wrong
M: 2 wrong
W: 2-3 wrong

-1 in CR has even been an 80 before, correct?

I hope I got 220+ :(

I don’t want to see more answers so I won’t know what I missed, lol. <– Double negative. xD

“-1 in CR has even been an 80 before, correct?”

Yep, and it’s certainly possible this time.

"silverturtle…so using you info…what would you say for my scores?

CR: 5-6 wrong
M: 2 wrong
W: 2-3 wrong"

I’m going to assume that you did not omit any.

CR: 70 if five wrong; 68 if six wrong

Math: 74

Writing: 75 if two wrong; 71 if three wrong

Total: 213-219

What about my scores?

CR: -5-6
M: -3
W: -2

thank you silverturtle for calculating that for me…and yes i didnt omit any (though i maybe shouldve omitted a couple CR’s)…i live in FL where the cutoff last year was 211 so thats exactly what i needed to hear…and it gives me leeway in case i made a dumb error on a math question.

NVM. I figured it out.

Okay, I know I’ve already said this, but the A, B, X question with the plane was definitely one! I confirmed this with a friend who was a USAMO qualifier :)

^ Thanks. I think I still have my 80 for Math going. :)

what did you get for the cr question asking about what kind of study would be similar to the study for passage one? the two real choices were something about writers and Hollywood, and there was another option about the state of science in the US compared to other countries.

I put something that involved decreasing the children’s something (i can’t remember what it was) in comparision to other countries. It was something along those lines

Yeah, that’s the one. I think it was “a decrease in American children’s computer skills compared to children of other countries”.

hmm…I picked the one regarding different occupations being chosen

Sorry to bother you again silverturtle, but what do you think this score might be

CR: Omit 2 miss 2 or 3
M: Omit 1 miss 1
W: Omit 1 miss 7

Yeah, that’s the one. I think it was “a decrease in American children’s computer skills compared to children of other countries”.

Yep that’s the one—it’s amazing how you still remember the answer choice.

i put the one with writers and hollywood…what was your reasoning for picking the one with children?

Because in the first passage, it emphasized that the number of adult readers were decreasing throughout America. The answer choice paralleled that emphasis by noting that children’s technological skills were decreasing throughout America.—Clearly, it is the one most directly parallel to the situation mentioned in passage 1.

Raiderade,

CR: Omit 2 miss 3 = 71
M: Omit 1 miss 1 = 74
W: Omit 1 miss 7 = ~59

Total: ~204

I answered all questions.

-2 CR (pretty sure this won’t change), -1 M (this will definitely not change), -1 W (also fairly certain this won’t change) would put me at ~230, right?

I think I’m around:

CR: 70 (vocabulary killed me!)

M: 75 (I really shouldn’t be missing SAT math questions!)

W: 59 (I suck at grammar)

So no national merit for me :(
