Psat 2012 Wednesday Discussion

k constant answer was 600

my sister is a junior and from this discussion i think she got

-1 math, -1 writing, -3 cr

would she get 220+ or no

@ moving, 70 and 70 = 140, and its isosceles, thus the third is 40, since the lines of the triangles intersect, one of the angles is 40. The other triangle is also isosceles. 40 + 40 = 80. Triangle degrees: 180 - 80 = 100

I got 600 for the k constant? Anybody else? Because 500=3(x+k) or something like that? Lol

yup! i chose after 6th sentence!

I think I got 8 wrong in CR -.-

4 wrong in Writing

and 2 wrong in Math

@ smarty, yes

For the writing section, I thought “no two” was wrong… It’s either that or I put no error… Not sure…

yes the answer is 3/4 for the average and difference question

i chose after 6th sentence, too.

i think there were 2 or 3 no errors

something about chains?

What do you guys think -2 CR, -0 M, -3 W would be?

Smarty, I think the answer is no error.

@pomp yeah, author was comparing chain to dealing cards

I think there were 2 no errors

anyone remembers the question about tools and museum in writing section???

i cant remember where i chose to put that question. bothering me. it was between 6 12 and 14

for the macchu picchu passage, what did the pyramid represent? vaguely remember two answer choices were layers zones and special garden…

there was a question on the finding errors section of the writing portion about Sir winston churchill’s book and how its no longer respected. what was the answer to that?

the answer to the two intersecting triangles is 70 not 100! the angles were 70,70,40 and since they are intersecting lines the angle opposite of the 40 is also for and since AB=CD the base angles were again 70,70
