Hi,
I am having major issues obtaining my online PSAT scores. My friends’ scores all showed up on their accounts this morning, but mine didn’t. I went to my school’s guidance department, and they gave me my access code. I tried clicking the “Add scores” button on the College Board PSAT website, but when I entered my access code, a message appeared stating “We could not locate your scores with the information provided.”
I called College Board, waited on hold for nearly half an hour, and talked for another pointless half an hour as a clueless representative asked me for all my account information and the access code, only to ultimately tell me that I apparently have another College Board account with the same email and information that is “not online”. What??
She told me that she has to send my information along to someone else above her and that I will hear back within 5-7 business days.
I can’t wait 5 to 7 business days though! I really want to know how I might stack up for national merit scholarships. My guidance counselor was able to tell me my scores, but I would like to see more detailed information (percentiles, selection index, etc.).
Does anyone know what is going on here/ how I can resolve this on my own? Is anyone having the same problem?
Thanks
Did your GC give you your subscores? If so, add them up and multiply by 2 and that will give you your Selection Index. If you look at some of the threads where people are posting scores and corresponding percentiles, you should be able to figure out about where you are.
@suzy100 she did not give me my subscores. Do you know if guidance counselors have the subscores? If so I will go back tomorrow to ask for them. Thanks for your help!
Also, everyone I know who took the PSAT got an email saying the scores are available, but I did not.
I am having the similar issue with my D’s scores, but it appears many others in her school are having the same issue. Even the GC cannot see the scores or retrieve the access codes.
I just got off the phone with the CB, my D has the same issue with an account that is not “on-line.” That account, however, only has her 2014 PSAT. But we still need to wait until the access code is emailed, sometime between now and Saturday. We need the Access Code to associate the 2015 PSAT with the online account.
@CaucAsianDad Best of luck to you! My GC can see the access codes and scores, so that is strange that your school has not received them. I will be curious to know whether your D’s access code actually works to associate the 2015 PSAT with the online account–mine does not!
I called the CB yesterday and they said they could associate the 2015 PSAT with my D’s account, IF we gave them the access code. Funny thing was they could not provide the access code.
You might try calling the CB and see if they can associate the scores since you have a valid access code.
My D’s GC leaves a lot to be desired. The GC department did not know PSAT scores we coming yesterday until students started asking for them. When they could not retrieve them they the said “something is broken” and sent the kids away. GC said try calling CB, CB told me the GC should have my D’s access code. Hoping for the access code email.
Sorry if this is almost a year ago but what was your experience with this? I just had a similar problem with the recent psat and got the same “5-7 days” response. Although I have the access code, I wasn’t able to access it online (might have been the proctor messing something up as others at my school had the same issue). Were they able to get it fixed?
Wild Snorlax,
Unfortunately, I forget what the issue was, but it was ultimately fixed. It might have had to do with different email addresses or something like that, but I’m not sure. I think I called the College Board and gave them all my information so that they were able to sort it out.
Best of luck!
